About MEDEK
In line with Türkiye's strategic development plans, the Association for Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation (MEDEK) was established in 2021 with the encouragement and support of the Council of Higher Education. MEDEK received accreditation authority for 83 vocational school programs in 2023 from the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). This authority ensures that vocational school programs are assessed for compliance with established standards, quality criteria, and performance benchmarks. In this context, it contributes to shaping the qualified workforce of the future. Our association, authorized for accreditation, contributes to the development of quality standards, improvement of education and training processes, and more consistent learning outcomes in vocational school programs through rigorous processes managed by an experienced team. Accredited programs are aligned with the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), achieving international recognition and enabling businesses to access a more qualified workforce. Furthermore, accredited programs now have the option to use the TYÇ logo on their diplomas, making them internationally recognized. Vocational school students also have easier job opportunities.
Mission
MEDEK's vision is to define the education, research activities and administrative processes of associate degree programs in accordance with national and international standards, to determine the quality of human resources and to become an organization that issues quality registration by sharing the results with the relevant institutions.
